Overall background :
Iran Khodro Company (public joint Stock) was registered in the office of Companies' Registration and Industrial Ownership of Tehran in August 1963 under the name of Iran National Industrial Factories (Private Joint stock) under registration No. 8352 and started its operations on 6/10/1963. Iran Khodro Company' (Public joint stock) was recognized as qualifying within the terms of Paragraph (a) of Iran Industries Protection and Development Law from July 1979 and from October 1981, the Board of Directors elected by Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) took over the running of its affairs. In the beginning of 1991, Company's shares were accepted to be listed by Tehran Stock Exchange. At present, The Company represents the parent company of Iran Khodro Industrial Group. And its central office is Located on Kilometer 14 of Special Karaj Road.

Company's major activities:
1-2-1. The main activity of the company, according to article 3 of The Articles of Associations is establishing and running factories in any place inside or outside the country for the purpose of manufacturing all types of motor vehicles, automobiles, trucks, buses minibuses, motor vans and all related equipment and parts and similar items and any machinery and parts and their components and bringing into operations such factories, and the sale and export of the products thereof, and import of raw material and parts for any vehicle and machinery, and establishing any type of company with or without partnership of local or foreign persons acquisition of factories and shares of local or foreign companies within the scope of the subject of the
Company and attempting any activity necessary or useful for carrying out above objects or to facilitate carrying out such objects . "-
During year ended March, 20, 2003, as previous year, Company's activity has been limited to production of body parts, and elements of the engine, and production and assembly of all types of passenger cars, vans and buses.
